My Android app is crashing when editing game ini files!
We have been made aware of an issue when using ConfigBP for android with the latest API versions and default packaging sessions. When you try editing a configuration file that is included with the game itself, ConfigBP will try writing to this file. Unfortunately, changing in the way Android manages security around these files mean that this is an illegal operation on the latest versions of Android, which can lead to a crash.
A workaround for this issue is to go open up Edit > Project Settings > Android > Advanced Packaging Settings, and to enable the Use ExternalFilesDir for UE4Game files? option. Take a look at the screenshot below for some more detailed instructions:
