My back-end suddenly stopped working!

Backend Version ≤ v1.4

Twitch recently removed a few API features that the TwiWorks backend used. This means that if you are running TwiWorks Backend v1.4 or earlier, you will get an error like the following: Error! Unable to fetch user info. To resolve this issue, please download the latest version of the backend linked here, and copy it to your server. You will likely have to copy over your TwiWorks configuration from your old configuration file. If you’re using a docker container, you may also need to re-build the container. Please see the Setting Up Twitch Login section for more information on this.

Backend Version ≤ v1.7

Twitch recently changed their Helix API's OAuth requirements, and some users have reported issues with their backend after these changes went live. A solution has been implemented in TwiWorks backend starting with version 0.8, so please try updating to see if it resolves your issues. We highly recommend grabbing the latest version from the Setting Up Twitch Login section.

If the issue still persists, please double-check your configuration and if you're still having issues getting things to work, please reach out to us as explained in the I Still Can't Fix My Issue! section
